Curious about the actual process of making the modular sectional
I built a frame for the mattress to sit on top of. Then put the fabric over and stapled it undermeath
I absolutely love the finished product! The home looks amazing! By chance did you record the sofa build out? I'm intrigued by your creative style. Thanks for sharing & inspiring ideas
Aw thank you so much!! No unfortunately I didn’t but I have some photos of the structure. I could send them to you if you dm me on instagram
Cute doggie
Thank you so much!
I’m getting an aerial silk this year. I have no professional rig or thing to hang the silk up. I’m wondering if I can screw a piece of flat wood on my ceiling and screw/put a hanger on the piece of wood. Please let me know lol Do I need a special rig for the silks?
I would get a professional to install it since safety is so important. Sorry
I love this. It looks so professional.
aw thank you!
I use cardboard boxes all the time to make dividers and sections in my wardrobe and on my tool shelves. Once I've completely worked out the dimensions and see that it's working I add contact or wallpaper to the outside so it no longer looks quite so cheap. It's always useful to keep some cardboard boxes around. Just flatten them until they're needed.
That is so smart! thanks for sharing
I did one woodworking course about 25 years ago. Some things I found useful: 1. Use a spare piece of timber to push your pieces through the table saw. Unfortunately I don't have a table saw or any room for a table saw. All my tools live on shelves in my hallway (I'm in an apartment with a small courtyard attached but no garage or lock-up). It's quite cluttered but I just have to make-do. Early on I collected old bookshelves that people were getting rid of. I put up pegboard on the top half of the shelves (with spacers made out of offcuts behind it so the hooks would stay in). I put castors/wheels on the bottom of the bookshelves and was planning to turn them around so you can't see all the tools when not in use. I haven't actually used that feature but it was a good idea at the time. (I actually add castors to lots of furniture including a repurposed courtyard table as it was too heavy to move around on my own.) 2. Keep sawdust to use as wood filler. Just mix with wood glue. No need to buy more expensive compounds. I also add sawdust to my compost bin so it's handy to keep extra for that. 3. Clamps are really expensive (at least, in Australia, even if ordered from OS). There's nothing much I can do about that. 4. This is just semantics but I learnt that wood is stuff on the tree, and once it is processed it is called timber. Not that it matters, right? From past crafting pursuits, I already have a lint-free tack cloth for getting any extra dust off the timber before staining/painting. I keep that cloth in a small plastic sealed container. It has lasted me years and years and is still just as sticky and effective.
Looks fantastic. Well done.

I know it's been a whole year or so since you dropped this video but the only thing i do differently is anytime I'm drilling concrete, metal or tile I always have a bit of water running or sitting on the surface just to help cool down the bit. But amazing job and thanks for the tutorial.

I just found these videos today but you’ve done everything so well. I love how you think to repurpose doors and parts from ikea for the dimensions you need. It really inspired me to look at my furniture that’s off and personalize it more for the space.
